Hello Music World is a global online music education and events platform that connects learners with qualified music teachers for private sessions through live video chat and offers opportunities to perform to a global community.
As a teacher you can register through the apply to teach page and then you will be able to create a unique user profile. This is where you can add your own profile picture, about section and other information.
You can also set your own rates for your classes but as we are in the beta phase of the platform we recommend you set it at an introductory or lower rate. The students will then be able to view your profile and book lessons through the smart calendar. Each lesson will run online on Zoom through our platform.
Hello Music World pays out 86% of the cost to teachers. 12% is retained to be allocated to the operation costs of the platform which include IT, maintenance, marketing, staff, taxes, insurances and customer service costs. 2% is donated towards our charity partner B1G1. For further details on which projects we are supporting check out the FAQ for how the payments are distributed.
When it is time for a lesson ensure you are logged into Hello Music World at least 10 minutes prior to the lesson commencing. If you go to your profile and then to lessons you can see your lesson and join the waiting room. When the timer is up you will be offered to join via Zoom on the app or browser. Remember to keep an eye on the Zoom waiting room to let your students into the lesson.
